Yucen Xie is a Senior Principal at EIC, with over a decade of experience spanning technology, venture capital, energy and strategy. Yucen invests in venture-stage energy and technology companies, leading and supporting over 20 transactions totaling more than $40M direct investment and is on the Board of Safety Radar, Streamline (observer), Moleaer (observer), Kelvin (observer), and formerly RedEye (acquired by Fortive). Prior to EIC, Yucen was Project Leader at Boston Consulting Group, where he led and executed projects across private equity, energy, and digital strategy; Research Fellow at Amgen, where he designed and operationalized patented machine learning algorithms; and Project Engineer at Aera Energy (Shell and ExxonMobil JV), where he led teams of engineers and operators to safety design, construct and commission capital projects. Yucen holds an MBA and MS Chemical Engineering from MIT and graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a BS in Chemical Engineering. In Yucen’s free time, he enjoys backpacking, astronomy, basketball, and chess.
